Werewolves of the Apocalypse

This page is dedicated to my "postmodern fragment novel" Werewolves of the Apocalypse. The stories here tell fragments of tales situated in a single post-apocalyptic world, mostly through the eyes of werewolves living in it. Hopefully, the stories together will some day convey some sort of a whole, internally consistent picture of the world.

The stories are not necessarily meant to be read in a particular order, though I might modify the order presented here to suit my tastes better as I get more fractions written. YMMV.

The stories might be changed a bit over time for better consistency and such. I might add dates of last modification sometime...

Hunter
This began it all.
Prey
The second fragment that I wrote. I'm not so sure if it works sufficiently well, but I think I'll let it be here for now to give some more background info.
Birth
The first story in the continuum for a long while. Thanks to Jenny for encouraging me to work on this.
Cub
An attempt at describing a situation from more than one angle. Maybe not too unsuccessful, I think, but is it explaining too much? Also there are issues of style - for example, are the exaggarated similiarities with Birth good or bad?
Hunted
A more solitary piece of work, like the Hunter, but less contemplative. I dunno, you figure it out ;)
Moon
Yet another piece revolving around one single character, but from a somewhat different point of view.
Outcast
A small piece tying some things together. Perhaps needs a bit of polish, though.
Ambush
It's been a while, again...
Slain
Sheads some more light on some of the wolves' customs. May be considered a direct followup to Ambush, or then again, perhaps not.
Hardened
Another mind trip. Again at least a potential followup story.
Chronicler
Something new, something old, perhaps even something worth continuing.
Failure
So it was.

The works here are by Mikko Rauhala, 1998-1999.
